This die is perfect for intermediate usage, designed for use where more grommets are going to be set than the C.S. Osborne Grommet Kit but less than the Professional Setters listed above.

C.S. Osborne Grommet Kits
This kit has everything needed to set grommets, complete with easy to follow instructions. Although this kit is not intended for commercial use, with a name like C.S. Osborne you know it is a quality product that with reasonable care should last an indefinite period. Kit includes grommet die, punch, cutting board and grommets. Sizes zero-zero through one include 48 grommets. Sizes two through four include 24 grommets. Available in brass, nickel plated brass finish or black anodized brass finish.

When setting grommets, use a hard surface under the grommet anvil. Our Mini Anvil works great for this application! To enhance the life expectancy of your grommet setter use a rawhide hammer or wooden mallet, not a steel hammer.

When using the hole punch that comes with this grommet kit, we highly recommend using the Self Healing Cutting Pad. Otherwise it is recommended to use corrugated cardboard on top of of the wooden block provided with kit. This will increase the life expectancy of the hole punch.

Eyelets   
Eyelets are available in brass, nickel, and black finishes.  They are sold in packages of 200 or 1,000.  Eyelets require the Eyelet Pliers for setting.  3/16" I.D.

This hole punch has six settings that are easily switched so you can make the size hole you need! Tip: if you're having trouble getting the punch to go all the way through the fabric, use corrugated card board behind your fabric.

C.S. Osborne #196: Rawhide Mallet with Solid Head    
When setting snaps or grommets, it is highly recommended to use a wooden or rawhide mallet. The Osborne #196 Rawhide Mallet with solid head is an excellent choice! The head of this light-weight mallet is made entirely of rolled water buffalo rawhide. Handle is white hickory. It is recommended for many jobs where the user wishes to avoid scaring.

This chalk is clay based and thus it is much easier to erase. Also works on glass and vinyl that other chalks do not. Due to the shape of this chalk a sharp marking edge is maintained.

Common Sense Eyelet Hole Punch

Self Healing Cutting Pad
Now available in two sizes! This cutting pad is a must for using punch type hole cutters.  Made of resilient vinyl plastic, these tough cutting pads allow the cutting die to easily cut through the fabric and into the pad.  Should be used on a solid base like the Mini Anvil below.

Mini Anvil
For the best results when setting snaps, grommets or using cutting tools, a steel surface should be used to pound on.  If space is a problem, the Mini Anvil is the answer.  5.5" long x 3.5" tall.
