This is the pattern discussed in Sew News Issue #278 October 2005 written by Seattle Fabrics, Inc General Manager Kelly Christianson.

This pattern makes both children and adult sizes. Purchase Do-Sew Pattern tracing paper to save your original as a master if making multiple coats!

Avoid puncturing holes in the fabric, ruining the water-proofness, use Wash Away Wonder Tape instead of pins.

Don't forget to seal your seams!

     This nylon mesh is often used double layered for shorts or jerseys.  It also works great for linings in jackets and wind pants.

    Wicking Chain Link Mesh 
     Wicking is the act of pulling moisture and sweat away from your skin and dispersing it throughout a material; a critical attribute in high performance base layers.  The fiber surface is treated to make it hydrophilic, while the core remains hydrophobic.  The combination lifts water away from the skin toward outer clothing layers without soaking the cloth. Perfect for lining the 2 ply waterproof-breathables featured above!

    Two-Way Separating Zipper #5 Vislon (Molded Tooth)
